About Me
I built a home in 1993 in Hopewell and both my kids went throught the HV school system. I was involved in the battles over sewers and development of Scotch Road. This place is special to me. When our kids were young, we built a new home in Hopewell. Because we sold our old home before construction was complete, we had to live for the summer in a rented house just above Jacobs Creek.
We were within earshot of what our kids lovingly named ?The Noisy Bridge?. When a car passed over the wooden deck steel bridge, it made quite a noise. We would laugh each time we heard that lovely sound during that wonderful summer of 1993. |

This already Nationally Registered historic district is in danger of severe consequences should the County plan to replace the Jacobs Creek Bridge with a massive new roadway allowing tracter trailer trucks. Harbourton is approximately 1.5 miles down Bear Tavern Road from the bridge site. Thank you!
